About the California Team Program |

The Relay For Life California Team Program is designed to recognize volunteerism and philanthropy, while supporting and further developing an organization’s involvement in Relay For Life across California. The program provides a company or organization with the opportunity to form teams across California and share in the benefits that come from supporting one of America’s most popular and unifying causes – fighting cancer. Click here for flier Benefits An opportunity to participate in philanthropy A welcome package with useful items to both help recruit teams within the organization and to recognize teams for participation An invitation to company representatives to the California Relay Summit (A training conference for all volunteer event chairs across California) Team Captain communications to promote fun with fundraising in regards to Relay For Life Monthly updated lists of events with contact information Personal support with the partnership
A Relay For Life California Team Partner will be asked to: Assign a Corporate Contact to coordinate their Relay For Life California Teams Program Communicate regularly with the appropriate American Cancer Society Relationship Manager Recruit a minimum of 30 teams in two Relays in California Commit to having at least one team at a major branch, location, or headquarters Track progress of the teams and report year-end results to the American Cancer Society Relationship Manager (including the contributions raised and a list of team captains/locations/addresses)
A Relay For Life California Team is encouraged to consider: Matching Gifts and grant money if available In-kind gifts for individual events Corporate Sponsorship of individual events On-going internal corporate communications to promote Relay For Life and cancer prevention and early detection opportunities for all employees
